Salaar singer retracts statement on Yash’s cameo; Clarifies misunderstanding

Theertha Subhash, the singer for the upcoming film Salaar, has retracted her previous statement regarding Yash's cameo in the movie. Following her unintentional revelation during a media interaction in Kerala, where she referred to Yash as 'Yash uncle' and hinted at his involvement in Salaar, Theertha took to social media to clarify the misunderstanding.

In a post on her social media accounts, she explained that she assumed Yash's participation based on her familiarity with the team from KGF. The singer's parents also confirmed that she misunderstood due to frequent mentions of Yash's name while discussing KGF. This clarification comes a day after her initial statement created confusion and sparked speculation about Yash's cameo in Salaar.

 Addressing other rumors surrounding Salaar, producer Vijay has debunked speculations suggesting that the film is a remake of Prashanth's Ugramm. According to Vijay, Salaar is an entirely original story and not a remake. The film, originally scheduled for a September release, has been postponed to December 22 due to delays in post-production.

The chosen release date was determined based on astrology. Salaar unfolds in the fictional city of Khansaar, depicting a power shift from father to son. The narrative intensifies when a coup threatens the family, leading the son to seek assistance from his childhood friend in restoring peace to the city.
